How would you compare them to pioneering capitalists of the past, such as Andrew Carnegie and Henry Ford?

I would compare them in the aspect that they where the first doing something new and having monetary results. They both seeked something they didn't actually understand. They never expected to have the "boom" they had, they became millionaires from new unknown things.

They made PCs an essential part of our lives, and so we where forced to buy a PC. A computer now controls every single aspect of our everyday life, from chatting to homework making. By achieving their goal of making a user-friend computer they took them to everywhere around the world.
